Abortion and Nazi Germany
Tuesday, November 11, 2008
Today I am in the prayer room with faith in the ultimate victory of the Father's plans. However, I am also heavy of heart, knowing that too many believers here in America are blind to the holocaust we are part of.
Nazi Germany, was a well educated, christian nation. Hitler was able to unite a nation with ideology that led to organized genocide. This was not an overnight change, but a day by day slide into demonization.
This presidential election has shown us that America, a christian, well educated nation, is already comfortable with the genocide of the unborn! World War 2 gave the earth 50 million casualties. Abortion in America since 1973 has already given us this number.
I continue to be troubled by Christians I know and love, putting abortion on par with economies, wars, health care, education, etc...
It is not that I do not believe these issues are important...its just that in light of legalized infanticide...well I can't move on to issue #2.
Perhaps this will help you make a connection...there are many of these shocking facts.
I.G. Farben was a chemical company in Germany during WW2. They provided much to the Nazi war machine. One of the things they are most infamous for is that they owned the company who produced Zyklon B, the gas used in the gas chambers. They showed huge profits from this company and from personally producing stabilizer for this gas.
I.G. Farben was broken up after the war into several companies. One of them Hoechst A.G. is now the parent company and 100% stock holder of the French based Roussel who manufactures and markets the RU-486 abortion pill. I do not believe that this is a random connection!
My heart is not to become a gloom and doom preacher against America. I love this nation and will continue to press in in intercession! God has given us much time to repent...He is merciful and gracious. However, Revelation 19:7 is a declaration that will be said over America..."7 And I heard another from the altar saying, "Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."
Abraham Lincoln had great clarity in his spirit as he gave his second inaugural address. It was in the midst of the civil war, and this is what he said, "Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsman's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said "the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether."
I want to encourage you to become men and women of prayer. Lets give ourselves to cry our for mercy for America. If we do not stop murdering children, God will be a much worse problem to us than all our other issues combined.
Please join us the first Saturday of every month 9:45am 4Th and Franklin at our local abortion mill. Also, third Sunday's in the prayer room we focus on life for unborn children.

Let the children come...
Tuesday, October 7, 2008
Matthew 19:13-15 Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.
I was down in Washington D.C. this summer for a national day of prayer and fasting. There was not a lot of teaching or impartation of information...in fact, the only notes I made on my blackberry were during a time when a group of children took the stage to pray. Here are those notes...
"We're fascinated and moved by these kids that are praying...we are not used to it...WHY?"
I have not been able to shake these questions from my mind. I was confronted with 7-10 year olds who had passion and vocabulary in prayer that was amazing. The only thought I can come up with is that we have not yet established a culture of prayer in our families and our American lifestyle.
One of the things I have been praying for since that time, is a children's prayer set in the RHOP. Keep watching, you WILL see it!
Recently a painting was given to us, it is a picture of a child kneeling in prayer. This painting is in the prayer room, prophesying every time I walk in! Then this past weekend a man I know for many years called me aside asking for a meeting. He said that we must teach our children to pray before they are teens. God is moving in and through our children!
Join me in believing and praying for a radical generation of David's who will be worshipers and intercessors, with anointing to kill giants!

Well, we have finished 170 hours of night and day prayer for revival in our hearts, our city, America, and the nations of the earth!
It was incredible, the way the people of God came together for prayer! We easily covered all 170 hours of prayer and the testimonies are awesome!
If you were a part of this week of prayer, please take time to post a reply with your testimony of your experience in the prayer room!
We will definitely be doing this again as God gives us grace...anybody want to pray for a month?

Calling A City To Pray
I have heard it said that, "the only lesson we learn from history is that we do not learn from history." This is probably, mostly true!
As we look back on the history of the nation of Israel, it would be wise for us to learn from their pattern of walking with God. There were many cycles of Sin, Slavery, Supplication, and Salvation in thier national history!
God knew this well, and in 2 Chronicles 7 (at the dedication prayer of the Solomon's Temple) He has this to say,
2 Chron 7:12-14 - Then the Lord appeared to Solomon at night and said to him, "I have heard Your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land or if I send pestilence among My people, and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins.
God gives to them this promise, knowing that there will be coming seasons of judgement when the nation has turned from Him. God has always used His judgements to turn people back to Him! In these seasons, when there "is no rain", then He offers this solution...
"If my people...humble themselves, pray, seek My face, and turn from wickedness...I will heal their land." This is an amazing declaration, and should give us great hope in our day!
The first condition is humility. The question for Israel, and I would say us as well, is, "how far from Sin will we step into slavery before we allow ourselves to be humbled to the point of Supplication?"
In Amos 7:7 God makes this declaration...
“ Behold, I am setting a plumb line
In the midst of My people Israel;
I will not pass by them anymore. "
A plumg line is a string with a pointed weight on the end. The string is held still until the weight stops swinging, then you have an exact vertical line. This would be used and still is on construction projects, such as keeping a wall "plumb".
The problem with building a wall, is that your eye is not accurate enough. It looks fine for a couple of feet, but as you go higher and longer, any imperfections become magnified and the structural soundness is greatly compromised! You need a reference that is absolute!
In a given culture, the transition from Godliness to UnGodliness is so gradual over time, that the people are like the proverbial frog in the water pot. If you place a frog in boiling water, he will instantly leap out, however if you place it in cool water and heat it gradually, the frog will boil to death in the water.
In the cycle of Sin, Slavery, Supplication, and Salvation, the second step is God's mercy to help us loosen our grip on Sin! There is a profound need in our lives to hold ourselves to the "plumb line" of the Word!
Here in Reading, we have a profound need for God to "send rain" and bring deliverance, not only to the lost, but to the church. In all these things, the remedy is still the same, "humbly, seeking the face of God in prayer and repentance".
This August we will be hosting a week of night and day prayer! The meeting will start Sunday August 17th (the day after The Call DC ((see www.thecall.com)) for details) and will end August 24th at 9 PM. This will be a season of returning to the Lord as individuals and as a city!
The prayer room will be open for regularly scheduled meetings and will be used for private prayer times the rest of the week. Individuals can check the availability on website and email 24-7-7@rhop.net to reserve an hour of prayer.

Funding the Prayer Movement
Tuesday, May 27, 2008
Greetings All!
I have been stirred this past week by king David. What an amazing man. He was known to step boldly into priestly functions, yet was not of the sons of Aaron. He was also an amazing "apostolic" leader in his day!
This man carried such a zeal for the presence and power of God that he financed 4,000 singers and 288 musicians to stand before God's presence and commemorate, thank and praise Him. Scripture tells us that this was a full time occupation. David payed these men and women a full time salary to play their instruments and sing their songs.
I did a little math and tried to be conservative. In today's economy they may have been payed 30,000.00 per year (although it was probably more, they were highly trained). If you multiply 4,288 people by $30,000 per year,David was paying $128,640,000 dollars a year to keep these men and women at their post.
As strange a strategy for success as it may seem...it certainly worked for king David. Then again, tithing is a strange principle to a carnal mind. How can it be that 90% of our finances can do more than 100%?
We are believing God, not only for the financial provision to build a night and day prayer ministry here in Reading, but also plant other prayer ministries here and abroad!
Lets believe God for earthly kings in our region who will burn with zeal for the presence and power of God, like David. And like David, that they will make the worship and prayer ministry one of their top priorities!

A Life Of Fasting and Prayer
Tuesday, April 29, 2008
This morning as I was in the prayer room reading the book of Matthew I was again apprehended by the value of sowing in prayer and fasting.
I was reading chapter 17 and the story of the father who brought his son to the disciples for deliverance "jumped off the pages" to me.
In verse 19, the disciples question is "Why could we not cast it out"? Jesus' answer was simple enough, "Because of your unbelief". He goes on a little later and says, "However this kind (of demon) does not go out except by prayer and fasting."
It seems clear to me that this demon came out of the boy not because Jesus was God, but because he was walking in an authority available to us in God. He did not suddenly call a fast and a prayer meeting when faced with this situation.
Did you ever notice that when the "storm" is upon you, it is time to move in authority, not prepare! What Jesus was saying was that he had already established himself in the place of prayer and fasting and was equipped for this situation.
We still have time to give ourselves purposefully to a life of prayer and fasting. However, the longer we are casual about these disciplines in our lives, I fear we Will miss many opportunities to bring deliverance to those we cross paths with.
Lets give ourselves as individuals, as churches and as a city to be known as men and women of authority, birthed in prayer and fasting!
Go for God!
